It’s hard to say when “Amplitudy Chwil” got their beginnings as the podcast. Originally, this particular production raised under completely different name. I can’t really got that far to remember. All I know, is that – at the time I was deeply inspired by Scott Lockman’s non existing today “Tokyo Calling” podcast. He used to beautifully describe his everyday life in Tokyo, impressions, inspirations. I felt this strong urge to throw  myself for own take with it.

Microphone gave me opportunity to speak without being seen. How neat! I’ve fashioned myself – sort of – fictional persona to play with… It was simply great, innocent joy to issue an episode every week or two. Providing to my mysterious audience – I had no chance of knowing – as they would hardly ever engage with me. All I know is that they were there, saying hello from time to time. The point was that no one from my real world knew me from the audio feed and vice-versa… It was ofcourse only a matter of time as while talking, you’ll always end up making those more or less relevant references to the real world. Then you put them in to show notes and there you go – all of the sudden you are nicely placed on the google’s plate. So one day, I eventually got discovered by my girlfiriend. I felt quite uncomfortable. I  changed my strategy and soon after also changed my girlfriend. Upcoming episodes would since then feature various audio content with my voice excuded – as my big secret was reviled.

As time went by, I got way more confident and lately am ready to record again. (In English.)
Truth to be told I used to record for various project at the same time. As most of contexts would be in English – I just felt natural to broadcast accordingly.

Worth mentioning is definitely non-existing today podcast I did from Spain. I enjoyed doing it as my being there was difficult, uncertain and unplesent (in a way). I was very lonely and alienated due to – impossible to break – language barrier…
My audience helped me there a lot. I used to walk endlessly, mostly at night, talking about anything what came to my mind. Often talking about dreams during morning commute to work. Describing reality, weather, faces, shopping windows…

“Amplitudy Chwil” today still host sound experiments. On the first of June (International Children’s day), along with friends Brother Grimm’s Tale was recorded. It’s impossible to say what’s coming and when. There are completely different mechanisms working behind that cart. I’m very glad I got the courage to ride it.

As I write this post, Mantra Train Radio is about to issue first episode. Im very excited about it as my approach feels so much different. I can only hope you will like and appreciate my radio work…

over and out!
